This website has been created as an online reference tool for users everywhere and also to complement the many other websites dedicated to the greatest conflict man has ever known.

The website is dedicated, in part, to the book entitled 'World War 2' written by Ivor Matanle. I purchased the book on its release in 1989 and have used it as a reference ever since. For me personally, it is one of the most detailed, comprehensive and immensely readable accounts of military history of the Second World War.

In order for me to bring Ivor's work from the pages of his book and into digital form has meant me seeking permission from the author and all associated parties. This has now been successfully achieved.

I would personally like to take this opportunity in thanking both Mr. Matanle and the other persons named and hope that I can reproduce the book on the internet in the same style as it is written.
